45 year old female with left breast cancer undergoes apartial mastectomy and simultaneous breast reduction. Her cancer is cleared with very wide margins and she has a very nice final aesthetic result.

This is a 55-year-old female with multiple areas of left breast cancer that require an oncoplastic approach to avoid deformity. She undergoes a left partial mastectomy and immediate oncoplastic reduction surgery and simultaneous right reduction for symmetry. She is shown six months after surgery. She is very pleased with the aesthetics of both breasts.

This is a 43-year-old female with a malignant phyllodes tumor involving the skin of the lateral half of her left breast. She undergoes a split reduction to remove this skin and simultaneously reduce the left breast. She undergoes a right breast reduction for symmetry at the same time. She is shown just two weeks after her surgery. This split-reduction approach was first described by Dr. Melvin Silverstein in 2015.

This is a 54-year-old female with extensive left breast cancer requiring an oncoplastic reconstruction. The left breast is also reshaped at the time of reconstruction to lift it and tighten up the skin envelope. The right breast is reduced as well in the same surgery. She is shown three months after the completion of radiation therapy.

This is a 74-year-old female with multifocal right breast cancer that requires a reconstructive approach to avoid deformity. We proceed with right partial mastectomy, right breast reconstruction, and right breast lift to obtain a good shape. She also undergoes a left breast lift for symmetry. She is shown here one year after radiation therapy and is very pleased with her results.

This is a 50-year-old female with left breast cancer that has responded well to chemotherapy. Given her very large breast size, she desires a breast reduction at the time of her cancer surgery. This helps to minimize complications from radiation therapy as well as alleviate her back, neck, and shoulder pain. She is shown six weeks after her left partial mastectomy and bilateral breast reduction surgery.

This is a 62-year-old female with stage one right breast cancer. Given her large breast size, she requests bilateral breast reduction surgery at the time of her partial mastectomy. She is shown six weeks after her surgery. Breast reduction surgery for patients like this significantly reduces the complications from radiation therapy as well as alleviates lifelong back, neck, and shoulder pain. Oncoplastic surgery also helps to minimize the chances of requiring the surgeon to go back to take additional tissue to clear her final margins as we are able to remove a large amount of tissue at the initial surgery.

This is a 44-year-old female with 6-centimeter left breast cancer who desires breast conservation. Despite her large breast size, removing  the 6-centimeter left breast cancer without using an oncoplastic approach would leave her with a significant deformity. She does not want a significant reduction in breast size but would appreciate avoiding deformity and lifting both breasts. We proceed with a left partial mastectomy, oncoplastic reconstruction, and right lift for symmetry. She is shown here three months after the completion of radiation therapy.

This is a 54-year-old female with a 7-centimeter right breast cancer. She desires breast conservation but is recommended to have a mastectomy by other surgeons who anticipate a significant deformity. We employ a right breast oncoplastic approach to immediately reconstruct her breast defect and lift her right breast. She also undergoes a left breast reduction for symmetry. She is shown here six weeks after surgery with no evidence of deformity and good symmetry between the breasts.

This is a 47-year-old female with left breast cancer who does not want a significant reduction in her breast size. We remove her left breast cancer and lift and reshape both breasts. She is shown here just two weeks after her surgery. She is very pleased with her result.

This is a 42-year-old female with left breast cancer who desires breast conservation. She would like to avoid a deformity and would prefer lifted and reshaped breasts. We proceed with a left partial mastectomy, left breast reconstruction, left breast lift, and right reduction for symmetry. She’s shown four weeks after surgery and is very pleased with her final aesthetics.

68-year-old female with extensive right breast cancer.  Dr. Schwartz uses a reduction approach to remove her breast cancer and save her right breast.  He reduces the left breast to obtain excellent symmetry.  She is shown 6 months after she completes radiation therapy.
