Dr. Schwartz provides breast services to all patients. Whether you have health insurance or are out-of-network, you can have access to world-class treatment options, as well as the superior care Dr. Schwartz is known for. Your financial situation shouldn’t cause you to sacrifice your breast health. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to access comfortable and compassionate care.

Dr. Schwartz is proud to be a part of the Northside Hospital system. As such, their Business Office ensures that we are an In-Network Provider for most major insurance companies listed below. They are also happy to file insurance claims for our patients.

Insurance benefits for breast cancer and reconstruction

All of Dr. Schwartz’s breast cancer and reconstructive surgeries, including revisions of previous breast reconstructions, are covered by health insurance under The Women’s Health and Cancer Rights Act (WHCRA):

The Woman’s Health and Cancer Rights Act (WHCRA) is a federal law that mandates insurance coverage for breast reconstruction surgery after mastectomy. Under WHCRA, Insurance plans that cover mastectomy are also required to provide coverage for breast reconstruction, including surgery on the opposite breast for symmetrical results and any necessary post-operative care.

As a breast reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Schwartz performs hundreds of breast reductions each year. His expertise and attention to detail are sought after by women and highly recommended by insurance companies to patients in need of breast reduction. Breast reduction surgery can have a significant impact on a woman’s quality of life. However, the cost of the procedure can be a major concern for many patients. Fortunately, many of our accepted insurance plans cover breast reduction surgery, but it’s important to understand your coverage and benefits before undergoing the procedure.
